While the coronavirus pandemic is spreading across the world and threatens the economy, major companies are uniting. Manufacturing hand sanitizers in perfume factories, call for donations, here are the solutions offered to contain the epidemic.

Now characterized as a pandemic, the progression of coronavirus across the world is worrying. In France, hospitals fear to be overcrowded and stage 3 is now on to try and curb the epidemic. As for major companies, the health crisis is distressing, so are the consequences on the world’s economic.

Apple already announced to shut down all Apple stores in the world. Straight afterwards, CEO Tim Cook also added to have donated 15 million dollars to fight against the coronavirus pandemic but also to limit its economic impact.

As for Facebook, the company invites members to donate to support the World Health Organization in their fight against coronavirus. The social network has said to double donations to 10 million dollars. Note that Facebook also fought against the misleading publicity about coronavirus such as the sale of non-compliant facemasks.

In France, the LVMH group – owning major houses such as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior or even Marc Jacobs – also unveils its plan to fight against the propagation of coronavirus. The group is willing to change the perfume production factories set in France so that they produce a large amount of hand sanitizer to give to French hospitals, those in Paris in priority. The launch is planned from Monday March 16th, 2020. The French group has also announced to give 10 million masks which will be delivered this Wednesday March 25th, 2020.

Cosmetics leader L’Oréal has also said they will support the fight and uses the brand La Roche Posay to give hand sanitizer to hospitals. Pernod Ricard gives 70,000 liters of alcohol to help manufacture this precious antiseptic.

As for Disneyland Paris, they will give 15 tons of food to domestic and local charities such as Secours populaire français  and the Restos du Cœur.

Moving on to Auchan supermarkets, they will give a €1000 bonus to the 65,000 employees in France.

And soccer side, the Olympique Lyonnais announced to donate €300,000 to Lyon hospitals.
