Lockdown has been lifted and tourism in Paris is recovering. Aiming at re-galvanizing the sector badly hit by the health crisis because of the coronavirus epidemic, the Office du Tourisme et des Congrès de Paris (OTCP – Paris Tourism and Congress Office) has worked in partnership with Paris tourism players and the City of Paris to prepare the recovery of the tourism activity in town.
Thanks to this common work, the OTCP launches the “Caring Attitude” Charter encouraging establishments and partners signing up to respect 7 commitments such as setting up health measures, training staff to these measures and adapting services to keep social distancing. With the help of partners already involved, visitors can prepare their stays in Paris safely.
According to OTCP director general Corinne Menegaux, “today, it is essential to reassure our visitors: all Paris tourism players have brought essential health conditions so that stays can be safe”. Like main travel companies, such as Air France, Paris Aéroport or even the SNCF, exceptional measures have been made to reinforce safety and health.
So, for daily commutes, the RATP network (bus, tramway, metro, RER) has deployed a thorough process to keep satisfactory services and enable to move around in Paris while keeping social distancing, so did the taxi companies encouraging facemasks.
Parisian establishments such as hotels, local stores, or even cultural sites, are reorganizing their spaces and services, while privileging adjournment and flexible bookings. Arrivals at the airports, trips to go to Paris, entertainments, a customer’s trip scheme has been made as a complement to the charter to reassure visitors. So, now, to commit yourselves and reassure upcoming tourists, meet on OTCP website!
