The World Health Organization will send a team of searchers and experts to China to investigate origins of the Coronavirus epidemic.

Months after the world coronavirus pandemic broke out, the origins of the virus are still not clear. Pangolin? Bat? Nothing is less certain.

To try and find origins of coronavirus, and to understand when and how the pandemic broke out in China, the World Health Organization has announced, on June 28, they will send a team of searchers and experts to China.

"We can fight the virus better when we know everything about the virus, including how it started," WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a virtual press conference.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus added: “We will be sending a team next week to China to prepare for that and we hope that that will lead into understanding how the virus started and what we can do for the future to prepare”.

Back in February, WHO sent a first team of international searchers and experts to China already to investigate on the epidemic that went on in the country.

To be followed in the next months, then…
