Roland-Garros, here we go again! Since May 20, the qualifying rounds of the clay-court tournament have been underway at Porte d'Auteuil. To mark the occasion, the Prefecture de Police has introduced traffic and parking restrictions, in force until June 9, 2024 in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, to secure the perimeter.
"Considering that these championships attract a very large public, and that it is therefore necessary to take the appropriate measures to ensure good order and guarantee the safety of people and property during the event, as well as during the set-up and dismantling phases of the installations", the Préfecture de police published an order on May 16, temporarily modifying parking and traffic in certain streets of the 16th arrondissement in Paris.
All vehicular traffic is therefore prohibited on the Boulevard d'Auteuil between the Carrefour des Anciens Combattants and the Place de la Porte Molitor, except for those entitled to use it:
Exemptions are of course available for residents and service vehicles. The Préfecture de Police also recommends that spectators use public transport during this period, and that other vehicles avoid the area for the duration of the tournament.
