For the more curious, note that this artistic installation is located exactly at the level of the interchange room of the Mairie de Saint-Ouen station, between lines 13 and 14.
Imagine rays of light decomposing into multiple spectrums of color, and thus metamorphosing the space. This is the concept of this moving work that uses the principle of light diffraction to create an atmosphere that is both sensory and poetic.
This installation, to be discovered on the glass walls that surround the void of the exchange room, is signed Kimsooja. Initiated by the South Korean multidisciplinary artist in 2006, the"To Breathe" series unveils site-specific works in which she envelops spaces with diffracting films that react to the natural environment.
The artist will soon invest the Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann in order to sublimate the mythical historical dome of the department store with her series"To Breathe".
