According to French intelligence, the mobilization expected this Tuesday, March 7, 2023 could be record. Many unions have called for a massive and renewable strike, in most professional branches. While employees of the RATP, SNCF, airlines and refineries have already announced to join the movement, truckers will also mobilize from this Sunday, March 5 at 10 pm. Are the roads of the country and particularly of Île-de-France likely to be blocked?
Snail operations, blocking of platforms, occupation of traffic circles, filtering barricades, these are the actions planned by the truckers,"to make the government bend" says Patrice Clos, at FO Transports. But if some want actions from this Sunday evening, for an unlimited period, other unions prefer a shorter movement of 48 hours, between March 7 and 8. Industrial zones andlogistics platforms may therefore be blocked in the Paris region during this period, which may have an impact on the supply of large-scale distribution in particular.
A tollgate, whose location has not been given, should also be blocked by truckers. In short, this Tuesday and Wednesday, we prefer to work from home, we avoid public transport as much as possible and we stay in the warmth if we can, especially as snow may come during the strike!
