This is the new public consultation to which Parisians can respond: for or against the introduction of a lane reserved for buses, cabs and carpools on the ring road. You can vote until May 28.

After deciding to ban self-service scooters in the city, Parisians are once again called to vote, as well as the people of Ile-de-France. From this Monday, April 17, and until May 28, you can participate in the public consultation (on this link) and decide if the Olympic route, created for the 2024 Olympics will be kept and dedicated to buses, cabs and carpools.

During the Olympic Games, the left lane of the ring road will be reserved for athletes and technical and rescue teams. At certain times, it is supposed to be more dynamic. Keeping this device after the Olympics has several objectives: the ecology, in the first place, but also"reduce noise pollution, reduce congestion, reduce fuel consumption and reduce household expenses," explained the Paris City Council .

Unlike the votes on scooters, the decision of the people of Paris will not be decisive, but will help the city hall to decide on the content of the project. Voters are also asked to give their opinion on the possible parameters of the device, such as the time slots where it will be activated; the categories of users who will be able to engage on this lane; as well as the speed limit of the lane.

A public consultation is being held at City Hall this Monday, April 17 at 7 p.m.
