Street art enthusiasts are spoilt for choice at the moment, with Seth 's exhibition at the Musée en Herbe, a bar occupied by some twenty street artists on the outskirts of the capital, and Invader 's immersive event to be discovered soon. Street art enthusiasts can also go underground to admire the works of four street artists.
Invited by RATP to transform the platforms at Châtelet station on line 4, artists Yann l'Outsider, Julien Colombier, Arnaud Liard and Pastel have completed their frescoes, after several hours' work during the nights of October 13 to 21.
Conceived in collaboration with the art production house and exhibition space Quai 36, these works can now be discovered on the two platforms of Châtelet station on line 4, covering more than 425m²!
On the walls of this famous station, users of the Paris metro can now feast their eyes on two impressive 70-metre-long, 3-metre-high frescoes. To create these works, the four street-artists didn't hesitate to combine their talents and different graphic styles. An 8-handed job that wasn't easy, but in the end gives rise to a colorful artistic journey, mixing the figurative and the abstract.
While artist Yann l'Outsider chose to stage a contemporary reinterpretation of the metro's famous typography, the Parisine, street artist Julien Colombier set about combining bright colors and tropical plants to create a poetic underground atmosphere. Arnaud Liard, founder of the TurboDesign collective, played with colors representative of line 4 and the RATP, while Argentinian artist Pastel chose to mix the poetry of floral art with representations of everyday life, with a few nods to the Paris metro.
Come and discover the result on the platforms of Châtelet station on metro line 4!
