Due to a signal failure at Châtelet-Les-Halles, traffic is currently interrupted this Thursday, December 7, 2023, on the RER B between Luxembourg and Paris Gare du Nord, as well as on the RER D between Paris Gare de Lyon and Paris Gare du Nord. The estimated resumption time is now 6pm. On the other hand, traffic is resuming on RER A, but remains very disrupted on the entire line, warns RATP.

Be careful, if you have to take the RER B or RER D this Thursday, December 7, 2023. Due to an " incident affecting signaling at Châtelet-les-Halles ", traffic is currently disrupted on the RER B between Gare du Nord and Luxembourg , in both directions. Although RATP had announced a resumption of traffic at 3pm, trains on this line are not expected to resume until 6pm. The Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens adds that traffic also remains"severely disrupted" on the rest of RER line B.

RER line D is also affected by this breakdown. As a result, traffic is interrupted on this RER line between Paris Gare de Lyon and Paris Gare du Nord, also until 6:00 pm. Traffic is also"severely slowed" on the rest of the line.

"A technical room that supplies the installations that manage train signalling has been flooded since this morning. Repairs need to be carried out before traffic can resume as normal between Paris Gare de Lyon and Paris Gare du Nord" indicates the Transilien website, which gives passengers a few recommendations.

For the southern part of RER line D, trains will serve all stations between Paris Gare de Lyon underground and Corbeil-Essonnes / Melun in both directions. On the northern part of the line, trains serve all stations between Paris Gare du Nord and Orry-La-Ville-Coye.

On the other hand, the situation is improving on the RER A line, where trains were interrupted between Auber and Nation. Traffic has now resumed, but remains"very disrupted on the whole line", says RATP.
