In the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, theÉtablissement français du sang is also launching its Marathon, the Donation Marathon! With blood and plasma reserves still low in France, the EFS is calling on Parisians and French citizens to get involved in the run-up to the competition, at unusual sports-related locations that will make your donation an exceptional moment of solidarity! In partnership with sports federations and clubs, EFS is aiming to break the record for blood donations in 2024!
The marathon kicks off this Thursday, January 11 at the Charléty stadium, from 12pm to 5pm! Don't forget to book an appointment on the website, to make sure you can give blood. If you don't have the time today, other stadiums are playing their part, including Roland-Garros, the temple of tennis, on January 17, from 2pm to 7pm! You can also join the French Rugby Federation at Marcoussis on April 30, or Paris-Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes on June 11!
The Marathon of Giving will close with a giant blood drive in the grand salons of ParisCity Hall, from November 28 to December 1, 2024. Don't forget, blood donation is a year-round activity, thanks to the many mobile blood drives in the capital and Île-de-France!
