This Thursday, October 10, 2024, RATP celebrates Charles Aznavour! The legendary singer would have turned 100 this year. Born on May 22, 1924 and deceased on October 1, 2018, the French-Armenian singer-songwriter left behind an important musical legacy, with timeless songs such as " La bohème ", " Hier encore ", " Emmenez-moi", " For Me Formidable ", and " J'me voyais déjà ".
This autumn, on October 23 to be exact, a biopic retracing his impressive career is due to hit the big screen. Simply entitled"Monsieur Aznavour", this biographical film is directed by Grand Corps Malade, and stars actor Tahar Rahim in the title role.

Just a few days ahead of the cinema release of this biopic, and to celebrate the centenary of Charles Aznavour's birth, RATP is celebrating the event on October 10, 2024. Throughout the day, enjoy a series of concerts paying tribute to the illustrious interpreter of " La Bohème ". Metro musicians will be covering some of the artist's legendary songs. Discover and listen to these exclusive concerts this Thursday in several stations across the RATP network, including Gare de Lyon, Châtelet, République, Châtelet and Saint-Lazare.
And that's not all. To make the tribute complete, the texts of some of Charles Aznavour 's songs are being displayed in poetry areas on metro and RER platforms, and in the trains of certain network lines.
