Every year, the Nuit des Musées (Night of the Museums ) brings you a host of cultural highlights to delight enthusiasts and the curious alike. Every year, museums, monuments, châteaux and other fine institutions open their doors to you for a fabulous program of exceptional evening events, free tours and unusual activities. As you'd expect: Paris and the whole of the Île-de-France region are taking this opportunity to invite you to rediscover the region's heritage in a whole new light.
This year, why not set out to conquer the capital's secret museums? This confidential Parisian address will surprise you! The Musée de la Contrefaçon is a private museum run by theUnion des Fabricants. It presents different types of counterfeit, some very old, others contemporary, by comparing them with original objects. Six rooms retrace the unusual history of counterfeiting, an illegal practice which, it's true, is conducive to the production of surprising objects.

Since 1951, theUnion des Fabricants has been collecting counterfeits seized by customs, police and gendarmerie officers, and presenting them to you for your laughter. Take part in an interactive investigation to help Count Maillard de Marafy recover a stolen object. A fun and educational activity, open to children aged 10 and over (registration required).

Synopsis:
Count Maillard de Marafy, proud to have completed his major international dictionary of industrial property the previous year, is strolling the streets of the city as usual. But that day, when he arrived at 16 rue de la Faisanderie, he was shocked to realize that an object of inestimable value had been stolen. Convinced that someone is after his prized possession, he embarks on a desperate quest to recover it.
Help the Count find the stolen object by analyzing the clues and distinguishing the real from the fake!
