In the hunt for gold, silver and bronze medals, Germany has sent 425 athletes, participating in 30 different sports (out of a total of 32). The German delegation is led by flag bearers Dennis Schröder (basketball) and Anna-Maria Wagner (judo).

Paralympic athletes should also contribute to this medal haul: since its first participation in the Paralympic Games in 1992, Germany (in its unified version) has won several hundred medals. In 2024, the German delegation is hoping to boost these figures even further, by sending 142 athletes to compete in 18 different sports.
