The Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games return to Paris for the first time in 100 years. The City of Light is going all out to host this iconic international sporting event. After kicking off with an opening ceremony that took place not in a stadium but on the Seine- a first in the history of the Olympics - athletes from all over the world gathered to compete in the events, sometimes with Paris's iconic monuments as a backdrop. The party continues with the Paralympic Games , opening on the Place de la Concorde !

The athletes proudly wear their country's colors and are determined to bring glory to their respective nations by winning gold, silver and bronze medals. Among the participating countries is the Kingdom of Morocco. Present at the Olympic Games since 1960 (with the exception of the 1976 and 1980 editions due to a boycott), this Maghreb country has won 24 Olympic medals to date: 20 in athletics and 4 in boxing.
