Suffering from congenital glaucoma from birth, he had an accident at the age of 3 which detached theretina from his right eye, leaving him blind in that eye. After an ulcerated left cornea caused by a kick at the age of 6, he took another blow to the left eye at the age of 19 in a crowd, rendering him totally blind.
Due to his blindness, the parasportive athlete is accompanied in his races by a guide in the T11 category. World champion in the 400m and holder of world and European records, Timothée Adolphe is eagerly awaited and is one of the favorites in his discipline.
