When it comes to running in Paris, either you're lucky and your home is not far from a wood, a large park or the riverbanks (of the Seine, the Canal de l'Ourcq, the Canal Saint-Martin), or you're a little less fortunate and you'll have to run on the main Parisian boulevards and streets, not necessarily pleasant and very prone to traffic. So, for a split, speed or jogging session, many athletics stadiums are open all week, every day and all day long (or only between midday and midnight, check in advance) to allow you to do your running session for free around a real, approved track.
Whether you're preparing for the Paris half-marathon, the marathon or one of the races of the moment, knowing the nearest athletics track to your home or workplace can be a real plus, especially for your split sessions (long, short, paced...)! And that's just as well, because Paris has more than twenty of them, spread out around the capital and at the city gates. Please note, however, that despite the online timetable, we advise you to call before you go or to visit the track, to make sure of the timetable, which may change depending on school sports sessions (in which case the track is not open to individual sessions) or the season. Come on, let's get our sneakers on and go for a good split!
