Roland Emmerich's Midway: VOD release date

The Battle of the Midway Islands revisited with a Roland Emmerich twist... This is what the director ofINDEPENDENCE DAY has in store for us with Midway, scheduled for VOD release on March 2, 2020. The film revisits the famous battle between Japan and the United States in 1942, a year after the first bombing raids on the islands and the Pearl Harbor naval base.

The cast includes Woody Harrelson(Solo: A Star Wars Story, Venom...), Luke Evans(Beauty and the Beast, Anna...), Mandy Moore(Rapunzel, Ralph 2.0...), Patrick Wilson(Aquaman, Annabelle 3...), Ed Skrein(Alita: Battle Angel, Maleficent: The Power of Evil...) and Nick Jonas(Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle...). Synopsis:

After the debacle of Pearl Harbor, which left the American fleet devastated, the Imperial Japanese Navy is preparing a new attack that should definitively eliminate its adversary's remaining naval air forces. The Pacific campaign will be played out on a small, isolated atoll in the North Pacific: Midway.

Admiral Nimitz (Woody Harrelson), head of the American fleet, sees this battle as the last chance to reverse Japanese superiority. A race against time begins for Edwin Layton (Patrick Wilson), who must break the Japanese fleet's secret codes and, with the help of intelligence, enable American air force pilots (Ed Skrein, Luke Evans, Darren Criss) to face the greatest offensive ever waged during the conflict.
