In an isolated, conservative village in southern Egypt, a group of disenfranchised Coptic women rebel to form an all-female street theater troupe. Filmed over four years, this learning film follows these girls as they become women.
Such is the seductive scenario of The Brink of Dreams(Rafaat einy ll sama in VO), the new film by Nada Riyadh and Ayman El Amir selected for Critics' Week 2024. As a reminder, Critics' Week is a parallel section of the Cannes Film Festival that showcases first and second works.
