Synopsis of The Legend of Zelda - Echoes of Wisdom:

In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Hyrule is once again in peril. Strange rifts have appeared throughout the kingdom, causing the disappearance of its inhabitants as well as a legendary swordsman. To restore order, Zelda must join forces with Tri, a mysterious fairy, and use the power of Tri's scepter to create reproductions, or echoes, of various objects. These echoes are essential for solving puzzles and fighting enemies. For example, players can use echoes of water cubes to reach new heights, build bridges out of old beds, or hurl boulders at opponents. They can even create monster echoes to fight alongside them.

This time, the damsel in distress takes on the role of savior in this colorful, childlike adventure game. In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, it's up to the Princess of Hyrule to save her world and take up arms against evil armies. This opus is one of the few in which Zelda is the main playable character.

What's new in this game are the echoes: magical replicas of objects and creatures, which must be used wisely to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies.

Our review of the game:

Game tested on Nintendo Switch Lite, nearly 6 hours of gameplay.

Without being revolutionary, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is a good opus of the successful license. It recaptures the childlike atmosphere and style of some of the series' great opuses, such as Link's Awakening and Spirit Tracks.

This new game transports us to a world in danger, threatened by rifts and dark beings that engulf the kingdom's inhabitants. For her own safety and that of her people, Zelda must show courage and confront this mysterious phenomenon, aided by a small being of magical light. The story is simple and easy to follow, and flows smoothly. We meet some interesting characters, who enrich the saga's universe.

The dungeons can be long and repetitive, and the puzzles to be solved to unlock certain rooms or rewards offer little resistance to hardened players. What sets the game apart is its combat phases , which are far more interesting, and require a bit of strategy and creativity.

Indeed, Zelda possesses magical powers, linked to Echoes and her collaboration with the character Tri. But that's not all! The princess also has Link's sword, which she must use against some of the toughest enemies. To win, you'll need to know how to use all these options, and especially how to use them together!

The mechanics and gameplay elements are quickly mastered, and the game offers a nice escape into the world of Zelda. The game should appeal to children and adults alike, newcomers and Nintendo saga insiders alike.

A software that promises an epic and innovative adventure. Expect to explore Hyrule like never before and use Zelda's wisdom to save the kingdom.
