You asked for zombies? Capcom has announced the forthcoming release of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, a remaster (as the name suggests) of the game of the same name, scheduled for digital release on September 19, followed by a physical version in November. Unveiled more specifically at this summer's Capcom Next, this re-release promises to bring Frank West 's cult adventure back to life in the Willamette shopping mall, overrun by a horde of zombies.
Capcom has reworked the visuals in depth, offering new 3D models for all characters, more realistic zombies and environments enhanced by the RE Engine. Light and shadow effects have been optimized for a 4K visual experience at 60 FPS on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. While the core gameplay remains faithful to the original, several adjustments have been introduced, such as the ability to aim and shoot while walking, improved AI for survivors and comfort options such as autosave.
In terms of content, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster boasts nine languages available for dubbing. The Digital Deluxe version, meanwhile, includes 17 music tracks and 17 costumes, ranging from iconic Resident Evil characters to Mega Man. Pre-orders are now open, and include exclusive bonuses such as the original Frank West costume and Chuck Greene's outfit.
