FANTASIAN: Neo Dimension, a JRPG developed by Mistwalker, has been waiting for you on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch since December 5, 2024. Imagined by the father of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi, the software plunges players into a universe where history and turn-based combat are intertwined. The video game was recently shown off at a PlayStation State of Play event on September 24, 2024.
"Mechteria... a fatal mechanical infection that robs humans of their emotions, and their lives, is gradually spreading around the world. The protagonist, Leo, wakes up in a strange land full of machines, with only one memory in his mind. The human world, threatened by Mechteria... The mechanical world, rich in mystery... and the invisible dimensions beyond. With the help of the Warp Device, an abandoned teleporter, Leo must search for his memories across the dimensions and save the world from mechanical infection".
What sets FANTASIAN: Neo Dimension apart from its peers are its environments, meticulously created as physical dioramas before being digitized. This approach offers an interesting visual immersion, where every scene seems to come out of a miniature fairy tale. Players will also have to master innovative combat mechanisms, including the ability to manage random encounters by storing them for one-off confrontation, which enhances the pace of exploration.
Fantasian 's soundtrack is another major asset, with compositions by Nobuo Uematsu, the legendary composer of Final Fantasy. The game also benefits from a number of visual enhancements for its release on the new platforms. In addition, FANTASIAN: Neo Dimension will include both parts of the original game, a new difficulty option, and English and Japanese dubbing.
Finally, this port is published by Square Enix, with the notable participation of Naoki Yoshida, known for his work on Final Fantasy XIV. Ready to dive into the Fantasian universe?
