The NOEX mode is coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket! But what is it, and how does it make battles easier? We tell you all about it!

Since the arrival of Pokémon TCG Pocket, players the world over have been battling it out in strategic duels. However, the omnipresence of Pokémon-EX cards, such as Mewtwo-EX or Pikachu-EX, has led to a standardization of games, abandoning original and creative decks. It's also hard to win a game with these cards, especially when it's your opponent who's using them!

It was against this backdrop that NOEX mode was introduced, a format in which these powerful cards are banned, making way for classic Pokémon. To access it, players must go to the"Private Match" tab of the"Versus" mode and enter the password"NOEX".

The NOEX mode is designed to balance confrontations. Without Pokémon-EX, players rediscover a variety of strategies. This format favors reflection and creativity, but relies on the honor of the participants. While it's possible to encounter cheaters, the community spirit encourages abandonment to maintain the integrity of the matches.

The main drawback of NOEX mode is that you don't earn experience points, even if you win. Despite this drawback, this mode is attractive for its more strategic and less predictable battles. An interesting alternative for players wishing to vary the pleasures of Pokémon TCG Pocket.
