Here's some good news for roguelite-loving gamers! Hyper Light Breaker, a video game developed by Heart Machine, will be available in early access on Steam from January 14, 2025. Presented at the Day of the Devs: The Game Awards Edition, this open-world game is set in the Hyper Light Drifter universe and offers an experience combining intense combat, exploration and replayability thanks to procedurally generated worlds.
In a trailer released during the event, Michael Clark, Lead Producer at Heart Machine, detailed the game's key features."We're delighted to be taking part in Day of the Devs: The Game Awards Edition and to finally be able to announce that Hyper Light Breaker will be released in early access in just over a month's time," said Alx Preston, founder and creative director of Heart Machine. The studio aims to include player feedback during this phase to fine-tune the game before its full release.
Players will embody a Breaker, tasked with exploring the Foisonnement, an ever-changing land teeming with enemies and mysteries. Online co-op mode will enable team adventures, while progression will be enriched by a diverse arsenal of weapons and items. Heart Machine is also planning additional content during early access, including new characters, equipment and challenges.
