For the past 10 years, the French Ministry of Culture and the Centre national du livre (CNL) have been organizing the nationwide "Partir en livre" (Go to Books) event to encourage children to read. The great festival of books for young people returns for a new summer edition from June 18 to July 20, 2025, on a unifying theme: animals and us!
On the program: literary walks, writing and drawing competitions, exhibitions, meetings, special selections to be found in bookshops, giveaways, public readings, games, book signings, an escape game... a host of free events are being organized across the Paris region! For half of the summer vacations, children can sail from activity to activity, whetting their curiosity and appetite for reading. What better way to make new friends than by discussing books ? Reading is a moment of joy and sharing, alone or with others, and this year, the festival also invites you to get moving, to explore the links between sport and literature!
Partir en livre will be reaching out to children and teenagers right from the start of the vacation season! Just like last year, the Livrodrome is back: an itinerantliterary theme park touring France, with ten stops planned, including the town of Asnières-sur-Seine (92). At the foot of buildings, on beaches, under a tent, or from your own home, enjoy thousands of activities!
