Vans Park Series: a skateboarding championship stop in Paris

Skateboarders, brace yourselves, the Vans Park Séries is coming back to Paris! Originally scheduled for September 7 and 8, the event has been postponed until 2019.

Created two years ago, the Vans Park Series is the first skatepark skateboarding tournament. In first eleven, then 22 stages held around the globe (Brazil, USA, Chile and this year... Paris!), this competition has revealed the very first skatepark skateboard world champions.

Year after year, the tournament grows in intensity and scope. In 2017, the skate brand raised the bar by adding an extra qualifying stage, with national and continental championships, and this year it's back! In 2019, two new qualifying stages have been added to the women's selection .

Finally, Vans prides itself on being a true industry pioneer. Not only is the Vans Park Series, as we said earlier, the first skatepark competition. It was also, last year in Chile, the very first women's tournament in the sport. For 2019, the Vans Park Series is keen to continue putting the spotlight on women in this rather testosterone-driven discipline.

In 2019, the skatepark in Chelles (Seine et Marne) will host the competition.

So, will you be there to admire the talent of the future Tony Hawks?
