Music, disco and, above all, gliding! On Friday, June 23, 2023, the Canopée des Halles will host the opening event of the Festival Formes Olympiques, a huge Roller Dance Party! From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., free skating will take place in a giant rollerdance arena!
In partnership with Martine Patine, the collective that rolls skates all over the capital, we'll be celebrating and setting the dancefloor alight on wheels! If you don't have your own skates, you can borrow them on site, without reservation, on presentation of an ID card. And don't panic, if you're not a skating pro, there will be introductory courses on how to stand up on skates for children aged 10 and over.
In recent years, roller disco has made a comeback, having first appeared in the 70s and been popularized in the 80s. On site, you can enjoy battles, shows and performances, accompanied by excellent DJs, between electro, disco and funk, to glide in rhythm. From now until September 17, you can take advantage of this festival around the Olympics to discover a whole host of exceptional events!
