The Hyundai Archery World Cup Paris is the fourth stage of an international circuit that brings together the world's best archers in two outdoor archery disciplines: classical bow and compound bow. After the qualifying and elimination stages at the Stade Charléty in Paris, theesplanade des Invalides will host the finals of each discipline on the weekend of August 19 and 20, 2023, after the Château de Vincennes.
During these two days, curious archery enthusiasts will also be able to discover the sport thanks to a free-access entertainment village. An introductory zone will offer the chance to discover archery under the guidance of qualified coaches who will teach the basics of the sport.
The Hyundai World Cups take place outdoors at a distance of 70m for conventional bows and 50m for compound bows. The competition generally lasts six days and is divided into two parts: during the week, there are qualifiers and heats, and at the weekend, the finals are held at an iconic venue in the host city.
This time, it's a special experience for the athletes, who will be competing for the title in the same configuration as at next year's Olympic Games in Paris, shooting towards the Pont Alexandre III, the golden dome behind them. The Invalides is in fact the Olympic venue for the event, an important point in their preparation and an opportunity for the public to witness a real preview rehearsal.
