The Cyclotour, a 3-day micro-adventure to discover Paris Region's third places on foot

From August 30 to September 1, 2024, get on your two-wheeled steed and let's set off on the adventure - or rather, micro-adventure - offered by the Cyclotour, with three days of bike-riding over 120 kilometers, from the Île-de-France to the Oise.

For three days, from August 30 to September 1, 2024, set off on a timeless micro-adventure to discover the third places that surround us. On the program, you'll cross 4 départements (Paris, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-d'Oise and Eure), pedal no less than 120 kilometers and discover more thana dozen third places.

Behind this micro-adventure is the desire to help people discover the "tiers-lieux" (third places) around Paris, these spaces with a social, environmental and solidarity-based impact, which are committed to various causes on a daily basis: throughout the Cyclotour, you'll meet the creators, managers and volunteers of these third places, and take part in collective activities. Games, exchanges, meals prepared together... Above all else, this is a human adventure, and you'll be sharing and meeting new people as you take part in the Cyclotour 2024. If your children are accustomed to cycling, they can also join in the adventure, although it is recommended for those aged 15 and over.

For the two nights of the adventure, you'll sleep at the Gîte de la Bullotte (Villeneuve-sous-Dammartin) with hard beds on the first night, then at Auger Saint Vincent on the second night (also hard beds, or in a tent at the town stadium, depending on your preference). In terms of equipment, you'll need your own mechanical or electric bike, equipped with racks and panniers for your belongings. All meals and breakfasts are included in the registration fee (except for the Friday lunchtime picnic, which you'll need to bring yourself). Departure is scheduled for Friday morning, and return should be around 4pm on Sunday afternoon. Accommodation and food cost between €85 and €115 (standard rate), €70 for reduced rates (children, students and RSA recipients).
