Ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the French Handball Federation is aiming to get even the less athletic interested in the sport before the summer! As part of a nationwide tour, a village of free activities is coming to the capital's Place de la Bastille for a few days! From Thursday, April 18 to Saturday, April 20, 24, Parisians and their families are invited to discover and learn about the sport, as well as four variations: Hand à 4, HandFit, HandFauteuil and BabyHand.
For 3 days, the square will be transformed into a giant handball field, with a wide range of activities including radar shooting, a digital wall, handbungy and even eSport, to appeal to all age groups and enable as many people as possible to have fun, thanks in particular to HandFauteuil, an adapted form of handball that mixes disabled and able-bodied players on the pitch.
This sport, particularly popular with the French thanks to national teams in great form, is increasingly followed by the general public, while the women's team has been crowned world champion for the third time and the men's team has just won the gold medal at Euro 2024. An opportunity to discover handball, alongside the French Cup finals at the Accor Arena!
