Rising from the ground to host training sessions for water polo teams during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Camille Muffat aquatic center in Aubervilliers, near the Zingaro equestrian theater and the future Grand Paris Express metro line, is now available to local swimmers. It joins the CAO in Saint-Denis in bolstering the region's sports infrastructure, and will enhance children's swimming lessons in an 8,200m2 space.
Named after Camille Muffat, the champion swimmer who tragically passed away in 2015, the pool features two pools: a 50m Olympic and sports pool with 8 lanes of modular width, with a movable floor to vary the depth, and a shallower 25m leisure pool, ideal for children's learning and activities such as aquabiking or aquafitness.
A fitness room completes a center that is resolutely modern and accessible for both leisure and competition. There's a cardio/weight training room, as well as group classes including pilates, cross-training and other activities, providing year-round variety for regular physical activity. The facility is equipped with green roofs, and is powered by over 50% renewable energy.
