A transhumance in the Paris region? Yes. After the one organized by La Villette last March, you'll once again have the opportunity to witness a show rarely seen in the inner suburbs. From Fontenay-sous-Bois (94) to the Cité Maraîchère in Romainville ( 93), you'll be able to witness this unique and festive transhumance.
Join us at 8.15am in the Parc des Epivans, Fontenay-sous-Bois, for the start of the transhumance at around 8.30am. The flock of sheep from the Clinamen association will have left their sheepfold in the Parc Georges-Valbon, in La Courneuve, for a few days to set off in the direction of the Cité Maraîchère in Romainville, where the arrival is scheduled for around 12:30 pm. On the way, you'll pass through Montreuil and the Parc des Beaumonts, as well as theFruits Défendus association's orchard garden, entirely managed using permaculture methods. Then, choreographers Clément Auber and Paulina Ruiz Carballido from the Compagnie les Corps Imparfaits will take over with a performance combining dance and walking.
The transhumance is recommended for families and teenagers aged 14 and over; it costs €10 per person to take part in this unusual hike, walking to the rhythm of a flock of sheep, for an experience that's definitely out of the ordinary in the Paris region. To take part in the transhumance, meet up this Sunday, November 26, 2023, starting at 8:15 a.m. at Parc des Epivans, Fontenay-sous-Bois!
