The site of the Parc des Beaumonts used to be an old gypsum quarry, from which plaster was extracted for the construction of the city's famous "murs à pêches" (peach walls), which gave their name to another lovely park in Montreuil, classified as a Remarkable Garden.
The 24-hectare Parc des Beaumonts is Montreuil's largest green space, where you can enjoy a stroll along the park's landscaped paths, go for a jog to relieve the stress of the day or, in fine weather, prepare a picnic or a good book to spend the day in the sunshine and open air on the park's beautiful lawns! Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the park is accessible at any time of day, depending on what you want to do. With children, it's a free outing that works every time: with its playgrounds, sports fields set within the park and panoramic views over Paris and Vincennes, it's the perfect place for a family outing!
At the heart of the Parc des Beaumonts, an area classified Natura 2000 is home to numerous animal and plant species in its flower meadows, wooded areas and artificial wetlands: lean in close to the ground or, on the contrary, look up and you're sure to see little creatures, snails, earthworms or even migratory birds that are rare to come across in the city. For a jog, a stroll with the family or a break in the sun, we recommend you discover and stroll the paths of this pretty Beaumonts park in Montreuil!
