Fans of the saga are in for a treat: Star Wars is back on the big screen, and with an orchestra to boot! On January 4 and 5, 2019, the Philharmonie de Paris is organizing for the first time in the capital four ciné-concerts dedicated to Star Wars, and more specifically to the first installments of the original trilogy.
On Friday, at 3pm and 8:30pm, (re)discover Un nouvel espoir, the fourth episode of the space opera. Saturday, at the same times, will be devoted to the next episode, Empire Strikes Back, featuring the famous Imperial March. A theme which, we're sure, will be enhanced by the live symphony orchestra. In other words, the most motivated will be able to enjoy two consecutive days in Star Wars mode.
In the Philharmonie's magnificent Pierre Boulez Hall, let yourself be transported by the intergalactic universe of Georges Lucas ' films, set to the beautiful soundtrack by John Williams. It will be performed by theOrchestre national d'Île-de-France, conducted by Ernst van Tiel.
Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leila and, of course, Darth Vader await you in January 2019!
