Have you heard ofHip Hop Symphonique? Since 2016, this musical event has featured the great songs of French rap, arranged and performed live with theOrchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. This autumn, the new edition of Hip Hop Symphonique is not to be missed on Thursday November 14, 2024 at the Maison de la RadioAuditorium.
But for this 9th edition, the event is changing its formula. Usually, the festival opens its doors to a host of artists. Last year, for example, Ronisia, Tayc, Tuerie and Werenoi were invited to take part.
In 2024, Hip Hop Symphonique has decided to host a single artist. But what an artist! This autumn, the famous rapper Josman is set to light up this new edition of Hip Hop Symphonique, in a concert once again under the artistic direction ofIssam Krimi. His name may not mean much to you. Yet Issam Krimi is a pianist, composer and music producer who has worked alongside some of the world's leading artists, including Ninho, Soprano, IAM, MC Solaar, Bigflo & Oli, SCH, Gazo, Oxmo Puccino and Gaël Faye.
After knocking the house down at the Accor Arena in Paris last February, Josman is back at the Auditorium de Radio France on November 14 for a symphonic concert not to be missed.
We recall that it was in September 2018 that Josman released his first opus entitled"J.O.$". Certified a gold record with over 50,000 copies sold in France, the album enabled the rapper to quickly make a name for himself in the industry. Then, in April 2019 Josman released his second opus"Split", notably marked by the singles " Factice ", " Feu.Bi " and " Petite Bulle ". In March 2022, the artist from Vierzon in the Cher region made his comeback with a third album, entitled"M.A.N". The album features 17 previously unreleased tracks, including a featuring with the famous rapper Laylow.
Since its launch, Hip Hop Symphonique has welcomed a host of talented artists, including Ninho, MC Solaar, SCH, IAM, Gazo, Rim'K, Oxmo Puccino, Soolking, Bigflo et Oli, Lous and the Yakuza, Fianso, Chilla and Kalash.
This autumn, Hip Hop Symphonique reunites Josman with 43 musicians from the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and 10 musicians from the live band The Ice Kream, all under the artistic direction of Issam Krimi and orchestral direction of Dylan Corlay.
A truly unique creation, this 9th edition of Hip Hop Symphonique offers a rich and unexpected encounter between two worlds, and promises to be a memorable musical experience, all in the beautiful setting of the Auditorium de Radio France. What's more, this year's concert is once again entirely song-based.
And, as in previous years, the concert is free of charge. But don't forget to register soon on the MOUV' website for your chance to attend. The opening date for reservations will be announced shortly. For those unable to attend, the concert will be broadcast on a special evening to be announced on MOUV' in December.
