French Deep Purple fans are over the moon! The famous British hard rock band announces its return to Paris with a one-off concert scheduled for Friday November 1, 2024 at the Zénith de La Villette.
Considered one of the leading figures of the hard rock movement, along with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, the 5 members of Deep Purple are delighted to be back on stage once again, much to the delight of their many fans.
Like most rock bands of the 70's, Deep Purple has had its ups and downs, with departures, break-ups and reformations... Deep Purple has always consisted of five musicians: a singer, a guitarist, a keyboardist, a drummer and a bassist. In the early days, the band was made up of Ritchie Blackmore, Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Rod Evans and Nick Simper, but the most famous line-up is the second (Mark II), the one of the greatest hits, featuring Ritchie Blackmore, Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Ian Gillan and Roger Glover.
Between 1969 and 1973, this line-up was at the height of its powers, with albums such as"In Rock", featuring " Speed King " and " Child in Time ", and"Fireball", featuring the single"Strange kind of woman", not forgetting, of course, the release of"Machine Head" in 1972 and hits such as"Highway Star","Lazy","Space trucking" and, above all,"Smoke on the Water"!
