Apocalyptica to play Metallica at the Olympia in November 2024

More than a year and a half after their last show in the French capital, Apocalyptica are planning to reunite with their Parisian fans this autumn. The Finns, who took over the Zénith de La Villette venue on February 7, 2023 alongside Epica, will now meet their fans on Wednesday November 13, 2024 for an exclusive date at theOlympia. To attend thisApocalyptica performance in Paris, don't miss the opening of the box office and presale accessible from Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 10:00 am on the Olympia website. The general on-sale date is Friday, February 23 at 10am.

Apocalyptica 's Paris concert is part of the symphonic metal band's new European tour, which includes a tribute to the opus"Plays Metallica By Four Cellos". Released in 1996,"Plays Metallica By Four Cellos" is the very first album by the Finnish band made up of Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen and Perttu Kivilaakso. On this album, Apocalyptica revisits and reinterprets 8 of Metallica's greatest hits on cello, including " Enter Sandman ", " Master Of Puppets ", " The Unforgiven ", " Sad But True " and " Creeping Death ".

A highly acclaimed album that saw the band support Metallica on their tour of Finland. Since then, Apocalyptica have released 8 further albums, the latest of which is entitled"Cell-0", and regularly features some fine collaborations(Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil and Gavin Rossdale of Bush).

This autumn, Apocalyptica hits the road again for its " Plays Metallica Vol.2 Tour 2024 ", with concerts scheduled in Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Hamburg, London, Vienna, Prague, Berlin, Warsaw, Brussels, Lisbon and Barcelona. In France, the Finnish band has announced three dates: at the Olympia in Paris on November 13, 2024, then in Bordeaux on November 14 and Marseille on November 20.
