Attention classical music lovers! On Friday February 7 and Saturday February 8, 2025, the 15th arrondissement of Paris hosts the latest edition of the"Week-end Chopin Contemporain". On the program? No fewer than 6 free concerts at the Médiathèque Yourcenar.
This year, the musical event continues its transformation and asserts itself as a fully-fledged piano festival. It's an opportunity for music lovers to come and discover different repertoires, from Chopin's time to our own.
For this 2025 edition, the repertoires of several famous composers are featured: Francis Poulenc with " L'histoire de Babar ", the inimitable Georges Bizet, with "Les Jeux d'enfants ", and the inimitable Maurice Ravel with " Ma mère l'Oye ". And let's not forget Marie Jaëll, whose work will be (re)discovered on the occasion of the centenary of her death. Pieces performed by students from the Conservatoire Frédéric Chopin in the 15th arrondissement, supported by students from the CNSMD de Paris.
Please note that these concerts are free, but only available with a reservation, so don't delay in booking your seats.
These concerts can be enjoyed free of charge (booking required) on February 7 and 8, 2025 in the Auditorium of the Médiathèque Yourcenar, located on level -1 of the building.
