Metallica fans can be happy! In addition to the two concerts of the Californian thrash metal band expected at the Stade de France this spring, several other events will punctuate this month of May. On the program? A special evening at the Bataclan, a screening at the Grand Rex, but also an exclusive meeting with Ross Halfin, the official photographer of Metallica!
If Ross Halfin has taken some of the most famous pictures of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, The Who, Kiss or Iron Maiden, the photographer is best known for his numerous and beautiful pictures of Metallica. Last October, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the "Black Album", Ross Halfin published an important book about the mythical American band. Entitled"The Black Album in black and white" (published by Glénat), this beautiful book gathers 200 of his most beautiful pictures about Metallica!
On Thursday, May 18, 2023, between the two Metallica concerts in Paris, Ross Halfin will stop by the mk2 Bibliothèque, in the 13th arrondissement, for a unique and exclusive meeting with the public. The opportunity for the British photographer to talk about his work with the band and his latest book published around Metallica, during a question and answer session (in English only). A word of advice, don't delay in booking your tickets now, before it's too late!
To top it all off, the mk2 Bibliothèque will be exhibiting several photos of Ross Halfin from May 16th to June 6th. In short, this is a great opportunity to dive into the world of Metallica on May 18th.
