Our review of the Elden Ring Symphonic Adventure concert at the Palais des Congrès:

A concert we were lucky enough to attend. And it was to a packed house that we took our seats, full of excitement. Everyone is a fan of the game, and awaits the arrival of the orchestra, which soon takes to the stage. First the choir, then brass and percussion. Then comes the biggest part of the orchestra, the strings, made up of violas, violins, cellos and double basses. All are announced by the evening's announcer, and each arrival of a group of musicians is applauded by the entire hall. First violinist Pierre Hamel arrives, followed by conductor Adrian Ronda Sampayo, to thunderous applause.

The concert begins. In all, two acts, each comprising six suites, take us to the heart of FromSoftware's game. We're taken back into the game and its history, in fast motion, offering the chance to relive battles against some of the game's most emblematic bosses (and their accompanying music): Margit the Fallen, Godrick the Grafted, Rykard the Blasphemer, Malenia sword of Miquella... These are just some of the battles that have given players a hard time, shown here in 4K sequences and accompanied by the symphony orchestra, who spare no effort in making us dream of defeating the Circle of Elden's shard-holders once again. It's beautiful, it's chilling, and that's what we're here for!

The concert comes to an end, with a standing ovation that lasts several long minutes and is richly deserved. And as an added bonus, the conductor takes us on a final tour with the orchestra to bring the evening to a fitting close. A last song for the road, making the fans' hearts beat one last time. A concert that's far more immersive than it seems, because in addition to the video and orchestra, effects are added throughout the three-hour show, with atmospheric mapping on the walls of the amphitheatre, and lighting effects on stage. It's beautiful, we're in the game, and we love it!

In short, we had a great time. Here's hoping for a new date in Paris... In the meantime, let the tour begin!

Sharing their ambition to expand the franchise and offer new experiences to their fans, Bandai Namco and Overlook Events offered an unforgettable evening forElden Ring fans. An opportunity to immerse yourself in the game's universe in a totally new way!
