Every spring, the Chorus festival kicks off the music festival season in the Paris region. Unfortunately, "in the face of budgetary constraints" affecting all local authorities, the Chorus festival has announced that it will be taking a break in 2025.

Bad news for loyal Festival Chorus fans. Usually marking the start of the festival season in the Paris region, the Festival Chorus will unfortunately not be returning this spring. The festival, held every year at the Seine musicale, has announced that it will be taking a break in 2025 due to " budgetary constraints " affecting all local authorities.

" Faced with the budgetary constraints affecting all local authorities, the Hauts-de-Seine department has decided to suspend the Chorus des Hauts-de-Seine festival for this year," announced the festival in a press release published on its website.

However, the Hauts-de-Seine festival has made it clear that it will continue to support emerging artists. The Prix Chorus will be held this year. The Prix Chorus evening is scheduled for Emergence Day, March 29, 2025 at La Seine Musicale.

In recent years, the Prix Chorus has enabled many talented artists to emerge, including Yamê in 2023, Zaho de Sagazan in 2022, Aime Simone in 2021, The Psychotic Monks in 2018, Feu! Chatterton in 2014 and Christine and the Queens in 2012. In 2024, Nina Versyp was named winner of the 14th Prix Chorus.

As for Festival Chorus, we're hoping for a return of the live music event in 2026. Last year, the Hauts-de-Seine festival featured headliners Dinos, Luidji and SDM. Composer and keyboardist Chassol, songwriter and singer Dombrance, artist Silly Boy Blue and duo Grandbrothers were also on the bill.
