In January 2023, the Cité de l' Histoire will open its doors in La Défense, offering a brand new immersive museum dedicated to the history of France. A real journey into the past through life-size sets and an interactive frieze, but also a 30-minute show visible at 360 degrees, plunging us into the life of a historical figure or a specific period, between cinema and immersive show, a unique animation in the world that plays with the set elements.
After Victor Hugo's autobiography, the journey with the Musketeers and the Normandy Landings, discover the story of Julius Caesar, the great strategist and politician, from December 20, 2024! This all-new documentary show immerses you for a quarter of an hour in the secrets of Rome, for an educational experience that combines 3D animation, sound and light projections.
For the occasion, the Cité de l'Histoire welcomes you into a world of antiquity, with a Roman temple dedicated to Venus Genitrix, a tribute to the monument erected by Caesar in Rome. Statues, majestic columns, melodies, incense scents and lighting effects set the scene, alongside a Lego model and a Playmobil illustrating Caesar's campaign in Egypt, as well as interactive workshops for the youngest visitors.
