This year, we're celebrating the 150th anniversary of Impressionism, with a host of events in museums focusing on this artistic movement. On the evening of April 12 and 13, 2024, Argenteuil, home to some of the world's most renowned Impressionists, is organizing an exceptional event to pay tribute to the three artists who lived here: Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley, Gustave Caillebotte and Claude Renoir. The program includes a video mapping display accessible to all, on the façade of the Conservatoire à rayonnement départemental!

During these Nocturnes de l'Impressionisme, the paintings of these painters will be projected, giving the general public an immersive and lively experience, far removed from the more static museum experience. As soon as night falls, the scenography invites you to take a visual and audio stroll through the details of these masterpieces of Impressionist landscape, from Monet's famous"Coquelicots " to Caillebotte's"Pont d'Argeuteuil et la Seine". Everyone can interact with the work and make it move, using a freely accessible device.
From 9:30 pm to 11 pm, this unique visual spectacle alternates with the poetic show"Le Chant des coquelicots", by Compagnie Fredandco, featuring two musicians surrounded by giant luminous poppies. Interactive and free of charge, this exceptional event transforms the town into an open-air museum, and is preceded by a series of musical sketches, foodtrucks and street art based on the theme of Impressionism.
