Launched at the Palais des Sports, this show retracing the loves and ambitions of Louis XIV captivated over 1.6 million spectators across 380 performances in France, Switzerland and Belgium, according to Chéri FM. The hits Être à la hauteur and Je fais de toi mon essentiel made their mark, revealing the talents ofEmmanuel Moire (Louis XIV) and Christophe Maé (Philippe de France).
While details on location and casting remain under wraps, one thing is certain: the original duo, Kamel Ouali directing and Dove Attia producing, are on board! Fans will have to wait for more info, with a mysterious "More information soon" by way of promise.
This comeback is in line with the great revivals, following in the footsteps of The Ten Commandments and Notre-Dame de Paris, other monuments of French musical comedy.
