The story between Christian Louboutin and the Palais de la Porte Dorée isn’t new. Born in Paris 12th arrondissement, not far from the Palais de la Porte Dorée, Christian Louboutin is passionate by the beauty of the place and its collections as early as a teenager.
It’s at the Palais de la Porte Dorée that Christian Louboutin draws his inspiration for the shapes and patterns of his first creations, like the Maquereau shoe made of metallic leather as a tribute to the fish scale from the Aquarium Tropical or the Pigalle shoe.
