Let's dive into the deep blue together. L'Atelier des Lumières presents Yves Klein, l'infini bleu, an immersive exhibition conceived as a biography. Initially presented in February 2020, the exhibition was halted due to the Covid-19 epidemic. If you missed it, now's your chance to finally see this immersive exhibition, which returns to the Atelier des Lumières from July 31 to August 27, 2023. Yves Klein, l'infini bleu is presented as the second part of the Van Gogh, la nuit étoilée exhibition, shown every afternoon from 3pm.
The tour retraces the artistic life of the creator and allows us to rediscover his works, to the rhythm of Mozart and Thylacine. 90 works, 60 archive images, this is what awaits us at theAtelier des Lumières this autumn.
Yves Klein, the man who wanted to "make a work of art of his life", is on show in all his colors and forms. Specially designed for this exceptional exhibition space, the tour reveals the diversity of the artist's techniques and subjects.
The exhibition is also a tribute to the Mediterranean. One of the artist's first loves, the source of his inspiration and his work, the Mediterranean can be found in the color, movement andenergy that emanate fromYves Klein's creations. This strength is also to be found in the soundtrack that accompanies our journey, lending depth to the works presented. On the program: Mozart, Vivaldi, electro with Thylacine and post-rock with A liver Mount Zion.
Yves Klein is known for his love of the color blue. His trademark isIKB or International Klein Blue, an ultramarine blue that is instantly recognizable.
Yves Klein, l'infini bleu, was presented in 2020, alongside the Monet, Renoir... Chagall. Journey to the Mediterranean. An experience not to be missed, a total immersion in the greatest paintings by painters inspired by the Mediterranean. It's enough to make you want to take a dip in the sea, or take a vacation in Marseille's Calanques.
Currently, the Atelier des Lumières invites us to discover the works of Chagall and Paul Klee.
