The Musée du Quai Branly brings together 26 photographers and video makers to present the “Who’s gazing” exhibition running from June 30 to November 1, 2020.

The Musée du Quai Branly holds the “Who’s Gazing” exhibition. From June 30 to November 1, 2020, 26 artists from 18 countries will come over and present their photographs and videos and art installations. Discover the look these artists have on the world through the lens of their cameras.

The exhibition evolves in different sections. Artists explore portraits, the way individuals can relate to a picture or not. Other sections investigate the story of the landscape and the way everyone of us gets their own territories. The relationship with time is also a major topic for photographers. Artists revisit works and performances from the past century. Pictures displayed at the Musée du Quai Branly become bridges between us and past artists.

Who’s gazing” is a special exhibition for the museum: it’s the first time the venue promotes the contemporary picture thanks to Mexican, Indian, Thai, Colombian or Australian artists… the tour of the exhibition offers a travel across the world, led by themes and questions that touch us all.

Let’s go, friends, shall we?
