The Fondation Custodia presents Eaux-Fortes, anexhibition spanning the entire career ofAnna Metz. The works displayed in two of the Fondation's first-floor rooms are unique prints, produced using an astonishing technique. Discover the work of Anna Metz from July 7 to September 6, 2020.
The Dutch artist has been creatingetchings for over 25 years. Different periods can be identified in her creations, linked to her personal life. Her earliest works most often depict landscapes, places that Anna Metz visited. As her children grew up and became independent, the artist was able to renew herself and try out new, bolder and unparalleled techniques.
Anna Metz produces unrivalled works, using her own means and defying all the usual rules of her art. The Dutchwoman likes to let herself be surprised, to push her materials to the limit, even if it means breaking the metal plate that serves as her canvas. These experiments, these " adventures " as the artist calls them, create works that are very different from one another.
