To discover young artists on the contemporary graphics scene, head to the Arts Factory gallery! From Wednesday, January 22 to Saturday, February 29, 2020, Rebecka Tollens unveils her new free exhibition: The Last Wedding. Come and admire her intimate, dreamlike works, featuring families, lovers and scenes of life in black and white.
The French-Swedish artist has produced numerous charcoal and graphite drawings, working with light and shadow. She explores the desires and relationships of love, the unions between people, but also between the afterlife and our world. Rebecka Tollens tells us about her journey as a woman, with a strong feminist perspective.
Theexhibition is not limited to the artist's graphic works: it takes over all four floors of the Arts Factory gallery. There are some very ambitious projects, including ceramics, a video installation and walldrawing (wall drawings). The mix of subjects and media makes for a rich and captivating exhibition.
Art andlove go well together. The proof is in the many exhibitions linking the two, much to our delight. After admiring the exhibition at the Arts Factory gallery, check out Cœurs, du romantisme dans l'art contemporain at the Musée de la Vie Romantique and the De l'amour exhibition at the Palais de la Découverte.
