At the Palais de la Porte Dorée, theTropical Aquarium awaits us to discover the incredible world of whales, orcas and dolphins. From September 28, 2019 to March 16, 2020, the exhibition Baleinopolis. The Secret Societies of Cetaceans takes us into the depths of the oceans, to meet the planet's largest animals.
Get your diving masks ready, we're jumping right into the world of cetaceans. The Tropical Aquarium introduces us to these immense creatures through objects, videos, sounds and interactive displays. Theexhibition focuses on four species (whales, sperm whales, orcas and dolphins) and reveals the secrets and daily lives of these animals.
The exhibition places us in the skin of a whale, thanks to an original scenography: an island decorates the center of the room, and we turn around it - like a (big) fish - to observe the various devices and installations. Touch-screen terminals presentexpert testimony on cetacean societies, the way they are structured, and the impacthumans can have on groups of marine animals.
Young and old alike won't want to miss this wonderful exhibition, which plunges us into the world of the giants of the seas. And don't forget: with your entrance ticket, you can also visit theTropical Aquarium and say hello to the other fish, even the smallest ones! And for those with a passion for little beasts, the Musée en Herbe offers the exhibition Spiders, Fireflies and Butterflies, from April 2, 2020.
