Because of the coronavirus pandemic, you’re not allowed to go out and enjoy museums and other cultural places in Paris… And to help visitors cope, a large number of museums offer different digital collections and other entertainments for the entire family so that you can stay close to culture. And it’s not you who comes to the museum, but the museum that comes to you! And the Atelier des Lumières got it since the museum is inviting you to digitally discover different experience.
Starting with an almost daily appointment, Un jour, une oeuvre [One day, one work of heart], offering you – as its name suggests it – to discover a work of art with comments from the Monet Renoir, Chagall… Journeys around the Mediterranean. A meeting to enjoy on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. For children, entertainments are also put online on Wednesdays. Memory, difference games, coloring… As many entertainments around art and artists displayed in the place to discover from every angle.
Discovering the current exhibitions? It’s possible via social networks since the Atelier des Lumières makes videos and photos available every day for art enthusiasts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Note that the Monet, Renoir, Chagall… Journeys around the Mediterranean exhibition is available on the Atelier mobile phone application, gathering many comments about works. Last but not least, a bit of history with an interactive timeline to discover the history of the Atelier, from the creation of the Fonderie du Chemin-Vert in 1835 to its opening to the public as an art center in 2018.
